Malino Tour
Malino is located 72 km south east of Makassar at the altitude of 1.070 - 1.200 m above sea level. It has been popular as retreat place since the colonial era. The panoramic views are beautiful.
There are waterfalls, pine forest and tea plantation. Malino also known as vegetable production center. Cabbage, mustard greens, carrots, leeks and many other plants and fruits are grow ell in Malino. Takapala waterfall and Malino Tea plantation are two of the points of interests which lure people to visit Malino.
As Malino is part of Gowa Regency it is worth to visit Balla Lompoa, a former palace of Gowa Kingdom but now cultural center and Museum. Balla Lompoa is a wooden house construction built on stilts.
Proceed then to Malino with some photo stops en route such as at Billi - billi Dam. Upon arrival in Malino, drive directly to Takapala Waterfall. It is one of the highest waterfalls in the province. A short walk is needed to reach the waterfall. Return then to Malino for lunch. After lunch, visit Malino Tea Plantation and the vegetable plantation area. Afternoon return to Makassar.
