Samalona Island Retreat
Samalona is a beautiful small island off shore of Makassar. It is reachable by local motorized boat in about 30 minutes. Samalona offers white sand beaches and beautiful coral reefs with crystal clear water.
Samalona island is 3.7 nautical miles or 6.8 km from Makassar. The widest part is 152 m and the length is 192 m. Samalona Island is owned by the Government of Makassar with some families staying permanently on the island.
Met your guide at Kayu Bangkoa - the traditional boat harbor and then take a motorized boat 30 minutes to Samalona Island. Spend your day in Samalona Island for swimming or just relaxing. Lunch boxes will be provided. By 3.00 PM return to Makassar.

- snorkeling kit (goggle and fin)
- fishing kit (for beach fishing) if you want to fish
